Customers, industry leaders, and AKUVO experts gathered in National Harbor to share practical approaches to modern collections.

Malvern, Pa. – (September 22, 2026)—AKUVO, a modern collections technology company serving banks, credit unions and fintechs, concluded its 2026 Community Conference, held Sept. 14–16 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The three-day event centered on the theme “It’s Time,” drawn from opening remarks by AKUVO Founder and CEO Jay Mossman that called on the collections community to move from intelligence to action.

The program explored how financial institutions can use data, predictive models, AI, digital engagement, integrations, and human expertise to make faster, more informed decisions. Predictive models surface risk signals, AI helps users interpret information, and connected digital experiences help turn insights into action, while human judgment remains essential to decision-making.

Seventeen AKUVO customers contributed to the conference by sharing their experiences with the AKUVO Platform. Attendees heard firsthand how collections teams are applying AI-assisted insights, portfolio intelligence, and operational data to make faster decisions, focus collector effort, and respond more effectively to changing account-holder needs. AKUVO’s integration partners also participated throughout the event, contributing expertise on digital engagement, data, payments, core systems, and the broader ecosystem that supports modern collections operations.

The opening ceremony honored Mark Price, AKUVO’s former Chief Technology Officer, for the lasting impact he had on the company and its technology foundation. As part of the tribute, Mossman highlighted Ask Mark, the AI-powered conversational interface named in his honor that helps users uncover insights from collections and portfolio data through natural-language questions. The name reflects Price’s curiosity, thoughtful approach to problem-solving, and commitment to helping others find answers.

Dr. Janet Sherlock, founder and CEO of Org.Works, delivered the conference keynote. The program also featured a women’s panel led by Elizabeth Osborne, Senior Managing Director of Operations for Credit Union Solutions at Jack Henry.

The first session underscored the conference theme, “It’s Time.” Philip Gieschen, AKUVO’s Principal AI Architect, live-coded a new feature for the AKUVO Platform, illustrating how AKUVO can rapidly transform customer needs into practical solutions. The demonstration highlighted the company’s ability to move from insight to implementation with speed and purpose.

“The message throughout the conference was simple: it’s time,” said Steve Castagna, Chief Growth Officer at AKUVO. “Time to move beyond discussing what’s possible and start putting intelligence into action. Our customers showed what that looks like by sharing how they are using technology, data and collaboration to make better decisions and strengthen their operations.”

AKUVO announced that its 2027 Community Conference will take place Sept. 13–15, 2027, in Denver, Colorado.
